Jana is a passionate and experienced Speech Pathologist who brings warmth, curiosity, and creativity to her work with children and adolescents. She supports clients across a range of developmental stages, from early intervention through to the high school years. Her clinical interests include feeding therapy and oro-myofunctional therapy, and she works with children experiencing paediatric feeding challenges, including Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID).
Jana has worked within multidisciplinary and transdisciplinary teams to support children with complex needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Intellectual Disability (ID), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Cerebral Palsy (CP). She has experience supporting children with speech sound development, fluency, early language skills, literacy skills and the use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). In her earlier work, she gained extensive experience helping older children and teenagers develop higher-order language skills such as narrative writing, text analysis, and essay writing for assessments including NAPLAN, OLNA, and WACE.
Jana takes a holistic approach to therapy, considering each child’s individual needs and the unique dynamics of their family. She is committed to neurodiversity-affirming practice and draws on a range of evidence-based approaches, including training in Sounds~Write, Talk for Writing, and the Lidcombe Program. Her sessions are designed to be practical, meaningful, and engaging. Jana is a Certified Member of Speech Pathology Australia.
Outside of her clinical work, Jana enjoys spending time with her young family, playing soccer, being creative (such as making digital designs, jewellery or craft) and fitting in a Pilates session whenever she can.
