Kate is a Senior Occupational Therapist and Occupational Therapy Clinical Lead at Kid Speak who is passionate about delivering inclusive, person-centred, and holistic care. She holds a Bachelor of Science (Occupational Therapy) with Honours from Curtin University and is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Kate has extensive experience working with neurodivergent individuals and people with intellectual disability across the lifespan, with a particular interest in supporting children and young people. She has completed training in autism, PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance), complex communication needs, and sensory processing — areas she is especially passionate about.
With younger children, Kate brings creativity and energy to her sessions, using play and exploration as powerful tools for early intervention and skill-building. With teens, she offers a supportive space for talk-based therapy, emotional regulation and attention support, and identity development through an occupational lens.
Kate’s approach is grounded in her core values of inclusivity, dignity, excellence, and respect. She believes every person deserves the opportunity to live a fulfilling and empowered life, and she works collaboratively with families and support networks to help make this possible.
